"It's more interesting to have just a picture of a small detail - then you can dream all the rest around it.
Because when you see the whole thing, what is there to imagine?" -Dries Van Noten
Dee Dee Taylor Eustace has built her biz much like her job… from the ground up! The Toronto-based architect and interior designer behind Taylor Hannah Architect Inc. is the go-to design source for upscale residential homes all around the globe. Dee Dee has been on everyone’s radar for years; in fact, The Big “O” sourced her out before we did—that’s Oprah Winfrey, for all inquiring minds. But, she’s no stranger to the big screen. In addition to appearing on The Oprah Winfrey Show three times, Dee Dee hosted HGTV’s Love By Design, a home makeover series, which aired across North America. And it seems the fine folks at HGTV couldn’t get enough of Dee Dee’s A+ performance; her latest project under construction? The Real Designing Women, a reality show centered around Dee Dee and two other designers, which follows their journey through the design trenches. In addition to her upcoming television show, Dee Dee is currently working on a book, which focuses on her ability to reinterpret classic floor plans and turn them into one-of-a-kind kingdoms. Her wardrobe is a prime example of one of those palaces, where Chanel is stuffed into every crevasse and corner of her closet. Seriously, Double D’s got the Double C’s coming out of the wazoo! We were mad about her bubblegum pink Moschino jacket, which took us back to our bat mitzvah days when we danced to Chubby Checker’s “Let’s Twist Again” – well, that, and Aqua’s “Doctor Jones.” Her affinity for all things Chanel led to an interesting encounter and photo op with Uncle Karl—and, yes, the Kaiser complimented her on her 2nd (and limited!) edition jacket… naturally.
